As a 21st century man, you need to be taking care of yourself, not just what you wear or how you look but grooming your overall body because, in the long run, it will help grow your personality. So, below are 7 grooming mistakes that you should be avoiding.

 

1. You don’t wash your hair regularly

Indeed, you shouldn’t shampoo your hair every day because it makes your hair dry and fragile your hair but that doesn’t mean that you should not wash your hair at all. It is better if you wash your hair with water regularly, especially when you work out, your scalp gets dirty due to your sweat. So, try to use shampoo just 2 or 3 times a week and don’t forget to use conditioner after washing your hair with shampoo. As for the other times, just rinse your hair with water.

 

2. You don’t have a night time routine

Before going to bed, you should be washing your face with a mild face wash and then apply mild moisturizer every single night. This will prevent wrinkles that appear in your face and makes your skin feeling fresh and soft.

 

3. You don’t own a signature perfume

Perfumes or deodorants should be a part of your lifestyle because you have long hours where you stay away from home and you might be doing some physical activities by which you might sweat more and have bad body odor. So, you need to have a deodorant to prevent this. It is important to have a good perfume which you use over and over again and you can make it a signature scent.

 

4. You think taking care of your hands is unmanly

Ask any woman if they find a man with clean hands, not necessarily soft, attractive. Make sure you moisturize your hands from time to time. And if you have a habit of biting your nails, then you should strictly avoid that and schedule a manicure that will help you with your nail-biting problem. Remember, your hands make a bigger impression of you than you think.

 

5. You don’t scrape your tongue

It is mandatory to brush your teeth regularly but it is much better to brush your teeth twice a day. In spite of that, people face bad breath problem and you can solve that by cleaning your tongue because especially if your back part of the tongue is not cleaned properly, then it creates bad breath. Here’s a neat trick. You don’t need to own any special tongue-cleaning tool. Just brush your tongue with your toothbrush softly after cleaning your teeth. Most people can go a step further and use a mouthwash to help fight bad breath.

 

6. You grow longer hair to hide your hair loss

People try to grow long hair when they begin to face hair loss but hair loss can be seen clearly due to it. This is because long hair will weigh down your hairstyle and this will make your hair look thinner. So, first of all, you must evaluate your hairstyle and keep your hair medium or short accordingly. As counterintuitive as it might sound, short to medium hair looks denser than longer hair.

 

7. You don’t review your underwear

We buy a lot of clothes but we don’t care about the underwear that we are wearing. So, once or twice a year you should be throwing away all your old underwear and get a set of new ones. Also with new underwear, you might feel that extra boost of confidence.
